Wii Sports Resort - Gamefly Rental Review
One of the earliest Wii games was Wii Sports, and Nintendo has followed up this game with Wii Sports Resort. It’s one of the first games to make use of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, and that is required to play Wii Sports Resort. This means you’ll need to purchase a MotionPlus for each and every Wiimote you want to use to play Wii Sports Resort. That’s one downside to the game.
On the other hand, if you don’t mind picking up several MotionPlus accessories, you’re going to have a lot of fun with Wii Sports Resort. There are twelve different games included here, each of which is somewhat based on an activity you’d find at a resort. This includes Frisbee, archery, golf, cycling, wakeboarding, canoeing, basketball, bowling, fencing, and power cruising. Some of the sports are easier than others. Bowling, for example, doesn’t take a lot of motion or energy. Cycling, on the other hand, may have you falling over from exhaustion by the time you complete the course. This is both good and bad. It means you can get quite the workout from Wii Sports Resort, but it also means you may end up avoiding some of the games if you’re not in the mood for exercising.
While some of the games do allow up to four players, such as bowling, some are only one or two players. The samurai-like adventure game that has you attacking enemies with your sword is a lot of fun, but it’s only one player at a time, so it’s not so great for parties. On the other hand, 100-pin bowling is a great game to share with your friends.
